Web Development

We build websites, custom web applications, customer portals, SaaS platforms and web-based business software — with backend, frontend, APIs and AI features from a single team.

Scope of services

What we build.

Web development covers the design, development and operation of software used in the browser. A website presents a company and its services and generates inquiries. A web application supports processes — with sign-in, roles and its own data. A platform connects many customers or parties on a shared foundation, for example as a SaaS product or a marketplace. Batunet builds all three, with a focus on web applications and platforms for demanding business processes.

  1. Websites

A website presents your company, your services and your content, and generates inquiries. We build websites where they need to do more than a site builder can: connected to data, forms and systems, fast, discoverable and maintainable for years.

  2. Custom web applications

A web application supports processes that off-the-shelf software does not cover: sign-in, roles, a dedicated data model, business rules. We build them end to end, from the business logic in the backend to the interface in the browser. That is exactly what we mean by custom software.

  3. Customer portals and business software

Portals give customers, dealers or partners access to data, documents and transactions, each with their own roles and permissions. Web-based business software brings internal processes such as quoting, project management and billing together in one system. Both have to fit into your existing IT: authentication, ERP, CRM.

  4. SaaS platforms and marketplaces

A platform serves many customers or parties on a single codebase — multi-tenant, with roles, billing or a listing workflow. We build the platform core so that it can grow with the number of users and features.

  5. Backend and frontend

The backend carries business logic, data and APIs — in our case with PHP, Laravel or Symfony. The frontend is the interface in the browser, built with React, Vue or Next.js where interaction, load time or discoverability call for it. Both come from a single team and share a common API.

  6. APIs and system integrations

Hardly any web application stands alone. We connect ERP, CRM, payment providers, partner networks and data sources through versioned APIs, provide our own APIs for apps and partners, and automate the processes in between.

  7. AI integration in web solutions

For us, AI is a feature of the web application, not an end in itself: extracting data from documents, summarizing content, searching your own data. We integrate existing models with clear boundaries, fallbacks and predictable costs.

  8. Modernization of existing web applications

Many web applications have grown over the years — on outdated framework versions, without tests, with knowledge held by only a few people. We modernize them step by step while they stay in operation, rather than rewriting them all at once.

  9. Maintenance, ongoing development and operations

A web application is not finished at launch. We take care of updates, monitoring, bug fixing and ongoing development — for systems we built and for systems we take over.

Fit

When it fits — and when it doesn’t.

We recommend the path that fits the project — even when that is an off-the-shelf product.

Good fit

  • A process needs to run in the browser — for employees, customers, dealers or partners — and off-the-shelf software does not cover it.
  • A website or web application needs to grow into a portal or platform with sign-in, roles and its own data.
  • A web application has to be connected to ERP, CRM, payment providers or other systems.
  • An established web application needs to be modernized, taken over or supported long term.

Not a fit

  • A simple company homepage that a site builder or standard CMS fully covers.
  • Desktop software or industrial automation software — we offer neither.
  • A pure design or campaign project without technical requirements for data, processes or operations.
How a project runs

From the first conversation to a running system.

Every project follows the same four steps. You see and review interim results along the way, not only at the end.

  1. 01

    Understand the goals and requirements

The first conversation, held with our management, covers your project, your processes and the systems already in place. We then write down goals and requirements and tell you openly whether custom development makes sense.

  2. 02

    Plan the solution and architecture

We propose a technical solution, define the scope and the order of implementation, and document the key decisions together with their reasoning.

  3. 03

    Build and review together

We develop in stages, with tests and code reviews. We present interim results regularly so you can review them early and adjust priorities.

  4. 04

    Launch and keep supporting

After launch we take on maintenance, updates, monitoring and further development to the agreed extent. The project-specific source code and the documentation are handed over to you.

Outcome

What you have in hand at the end.

  • A web solution that fits your processes — not the other way around

  • Backend, frontend and APIs from a single source, with one accountable team

  • You own the source code and documentation of your system

  • A documented foundation that can be maintained and extended

Questions

Questions about Web Development

  • Which technologies do you use for web development?

On the backend, PHP with Laravel or Symfony; on the frontend, React, Vue or Next.js with TypeScript; as a database, usually PostgreSQL. We choose Laravel for clearly scoped business applications and Symfony for systems that need strict structure. We use Next.js when load time and discoverability matter, and React and Vue for interactive interfaces. We also take over existing applications running on other versions of these technologies.

  • Can you take over an existing web application?

Yes. We start with an assessment of the code, operations and open risks, secure the existing knowledge and then take over maintenance and ongoing development. We modernize outdated framework versions step by step while the application stays in operation.

  • Where is Batunet based, and who do you build for?

Our headquarters and development team are in Denizli, Türkiye. Since 2015, we have been building web solutions for companies in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
